Subject: circa 1910. This photo was sent by Mark Halloway to the company currently working the town of Pioneer..This is what was found out. "I sent the photo of the 'Mayflower Mine' to the President/Head Geologist at Corvus Gold. They are doing extensive work out at Pioneer and know the area well. He says the photo is actually the Pioneer Mine. This would still explain the "er" seen on the photo. "The reason it can’t be Mayflower is that if you looked across the ore bin with the hill on your left you would be looking north-northwest and see the Pioneer Mine. In contrast, if you are looking across the ore bin at Pioneer you would have the hill on the left and be looking to the east looking out at the hill across the valley." Thank you Mark Halloway for the update. Was originally believed to be the Mayflower Mine.
